Job summary

Marineandindustrial is seeking a Wire Rigging Production 1 to manufacture wire rope and chain slings in a safety-conscious environment. The role reports to the Production Manager and follows ISO 9001 standards.

You will stage materials for rigging, inspect slings, splice cables, and ensure quality, timeliness, and safe operation of overhead cranes and forklifts.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Properly log in and out of work orders for job tracking.
• Stage materials for building rigging.
• Manufacture Soft Eye and Hard Eye wire rope slings, assemble wire rope and chain slings, and multi leg slings.
• Clearly communicate with the rigging team when operating overhead cranes and forklifts, and when handling heavy loads, to ensure safety of workers, materials and equipment.
• Inspect slings for defects or deviations per Quality Control standards.
• Identify and report non-conformities, contributing to corrective and preventive actions.
• Splice rope and wire cables to make or repair slings and tackle.
• Print tags and attach to slings.
• Maintain a clean and neat work environment.
• Keep focus on safety, quality, and timeliness.
• Compliance with all company policies, including Drug-free workplace.

Hours: M-F 8-5

Job Purpose: The Wire Rigging 1 role is designed to manufacture wire rope and chain slings. This job requires a commitment to safety, quality, and concern for the customer’s needs in accordance with all company and ISO 9001 standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the following and additional duties as assigned.

Properly job in and job out of work orders for job tracking.

Stage materials for building rigging.

Manufacture Soft Eye and Hard Eye wire rope slings, assemble wire rope and chain slings and multi leg slings, in accordance with all production standards.

Clearly communicate with the rest of the rigging team when working with overhead crane and forklifts, and when working with heavy loads, to ensure safety of workers, material, and equipment.

Inspect slings for defect or deviation per Quality Control standards.

Identify and report non-conformities, contributing to corrective and preventive actions as part of continual improvement.

Splices rope and wire cables to make or repair slings and tackle.

Print tags and attach to slings.

Maintain a clean and neat work environment.

Keep focus on safety, quality, and timeliness.

Compliance with all company policies, including Drug-free workplace.
