Responsibilities

• Stage materials for building rigging.
• Manufacture soft eye and hard eye wire rope slings, assemble wire rope and chain slings and multi-leg slings.
• Communicate with rigging team when using overhead crane, forklifts and heavy loads for safety.
• Inspect slings for defects or deviations per quality control standards.
• Identify and report non-conformities to support corrective actions.
• Splice rope and wire cables to make or repair slings and tackle.
• Print tags and attach to slings.
• Maintain a clean and neat work environment.
• Maintain focus on safety, quality, and timeliness.
• Comply with all company policies, including Drug-free workplace.
• Job in and job out of work orders for tracking.
• Stage materials for faster production flow.

Job Title: Wire Rigging Production 1

Department: Wire Rigging

Reports To: Production Manager

Hours: M-F 8-5

Job Purpose: The Wire Rigging 1 role is designed to manufacture wire rope and chain slings. This job requires a commitment to safety, quality, and concern for the customer’s needs in accordance with all company and ISO 9001 standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Properly job in and job out of work orders for job tracking.
• Stage materials for building rigging.
• Manufacture Soft Eye and Hard Eye wire rope slings, assemble wire rope and chain slings and multi leg slings, in accordance with all production standards.
• Clearly communicate with the rest of the rigging team when working with overhead crane and forklifts, and when working with heavy loads, to ensure safety of workers, material, and equipment.
• Inspect slings for defect or deviation per Quality Control standards.
• Identify and report non-conformities, contributing to corrective and preventive actions as part of continual improvement.
• Splices rope and wire cables to make or repair slings and tackle.
• Print tags and attach to slings.
• Maintain a clean and neat work environment.
• Keep focus on safety, quality, and timeliness.
• Compliance with all company policies, including Drug-free workplace.
