Surety HR, Inc. is seeking a Wire Harness Process Engineer Specialist to turn customer drawings into production layouts and support new product launches on the shop floor.

You will review drawings, develop BOMs, and provide technical guidance while troubleshooting equipment and processes to ensure quality and on-time delivery. The role emphasizes teamwork with customers, production staff, and Quality.

Responsibilities

• Convert customer drawings into detailed production layouts using 2-D CAD.

• Collaborate with Quality on CPk analysis, 8D reports, PPAP/FAI, and 5-Why analyses.

Wire Harness Process Engineer Specialist

We’re looking for a Wire Harness Process Engineer Specialist who is ready to take ownership, solve challenges, and help drive continuous improvement. What You’ll Do

• Bring designs to life: Convert customer engineering drawings into detailed, full-scale production layouts using 2-D CAD software, including connections, breakouts, lacing, and labeling.
• Support new product launches: Help transition products from development to production, including qualification schedules and first article inspections.
• Build strong customer relationships: Review customer drawings, develop bills of materials (BOMs), and provide technical guidance and support.
• Keep production running smoothly: Troubleshoot manufacturing jobs, equipment, and processes while helping resolve technical challenges.
• Partner with Quality: Help investigate quality concerns and support CPK analysis, 8D reports, PPAP/FAI documentation, and 5-Why analysis.
• Develop processes and procedures: Assist in creating work instructions and procedures for production operations and testing equipment.
• Make things better: Identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, product quality, and overall manufacturing performance.
• Work as a team: Collaborate with customers, production associates, quality personnel, and management to deliver reliable, high-quality wire harnesses and cables.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 2 years of wire harness manufacturing experience, ideally in a contract manufacturing environment supporting OEM customers.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and supporting cable and wire harness design and production.
• Familiarity with 2-D CAD software and creating manufacturing drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to communicate effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
• A hands-on, self-starting attitude and a willingness to take initiative.
• A passion for growth and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience with Dynalab wire harness testing systems.
• Knowledge of building mating adapters for test fixtures.
• Experience supporting continuous improvement, process development, and manufacturing quality initiatives.
