Job summary

ND Defense LLC in West Point, MS is seeking a skilled Wire Harness Assembler to fabricate wire harnesses and cable assemblies from engineering drawings, wire lists, and schematics for defense programs.

You will cut, strip, crimp, solder, and terminate wires to specification, install connectors and backshells, perform routing per IPC/WHMA-A-620, and conduct in-process inspections, documenting results and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; electronics training preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of wire harness or cable assembly experience in a production environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, wire lists, and assembly schematics.
• Proficiency with hand and pneumatic crimping tools, wire strippers, and soldering equipment.
• Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 workmanship standards.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate wire harnesses and cable assemblies per drawings and diagrams.
• Cut, strip, crimp, solder, and terminate wires to specified lengths and connector configurations per print requirements.
• Install connectors, backshells, strain reliefs, and hardware per assembly drawings.
• Perform wire routing, lacing, and bundling per IPC/WHMA-A-620 and MIL-SPEC standards as required.
• Operate and maintain assembly tooling including crimping tools, wire strippers, soldering stations, and heat guns.
• Assemble to Class 2 and Class 3 IPC/WHMA-A-620 acceptance criteria as required.
