Job summary

Swift Placement and Consulting is seeking an Applications Engineering Manager - Wire EDM to lead all Wire EDM applications engineering activities, with a primary focus on FANUC Robocut. This hands-on technical leader will guide a team of applications engineers and provide pre- and post-sales technical support, driving turnkey solution development.

Responsibilities include developing cutting parameters, optimizing processes, and collaborating with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 8+ years of wire EDM experience.
• Expertise in FANUC Robocut machines and EDM process optimization.
• Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
• Strong communication skills for customer-facing roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical authority for Wire EDM with FANUC Robocut platforms.
• Develop cutting parameters, threading strategies, and processes across materials.
• Provide guidance on FANUC controls, iHMI, AWF3, and iPulse3 features.
• Lead turnkey Wire EDM solutions including fixturing and automation.
• Conduct test cuts, time studies, and demonstrations for customers.
