Job summary

Sonepar in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Warehouse Wire Cutter to measure, cut, and package wire and cable according to customer orders. You will operate cutting machines, inspect outputs for quality, and collaborate with shipping and production teams.

The role requires 1+ years in warehouse/manufacturing, attention to detail, basic math, and teamwork. Forklift certification is a plus. Working hours are Monday to Friday 12:00pm to 9:00pm; we offer healthcare, PTO, 401(k), and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Wire Cutting: measure and cut wire/cable to orders and specs.
• Operate wire cutting machines and ensure equipment is maintained.
• Inspect wire and cable for defects before/after cutting.
• Label and package cut wires for shipment or storage.
• Track and manage inventory; report low levels or discrepancies.
• Record cutting activities (measurements, quantities) in system.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear PPE.
• Collaborate with warehouse, shipping, and production teams.

Warehouse: Wire Cutter

What you'll do:

• Wire Cutting: Measure and cut wire and cable accurately to customer orders and specifications using appropriate tools and machinery.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate wire cutting machines and tools, ensuring equipment is maintained in good working condition.
• Quality Control: Inspect wire and cable for defects or damage before and after cutting to ensure high-quality output.
• Order Fulfillment: Label and package cut wires neatly and accurately for shipment or storage.
• Inventory Management: Track and manage inventory of wire and cable stock, reporting low levels or discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Documentation: Record cutting activities, including measurements and quantities, in the inventory or order management system.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while handling wire and equipment.
• Team Collaboration: Work with warehouse, shipping, and production teams to ensure timely and accurate order processing.
• Work Area Maintenance: Keep the cutting station clean, organized, and free from hazards.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned.

What you'll bring:

• Previous Experience: 1+ years in a warehouse, manufacturing, or similar role preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements.
• Basic math skills, including the ability to read and interpret measurements.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with wire cutting tools and equipment a plus.
• Certifications: Forklift certification is an advantage but not required.
