Job summary

QED in Aurora, CO is hiring a Wire Cutter for our warehouse team. The role focuses on measuring, cutting, and preparing wire to customer specifications, with emphasis on accuracy and safety. The position runs 3:00pm–11:30pm in Aurora, CO, paying $22.00 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in a warehouse or similar role, strong math and measurement interpretation, and good teamwork. Forklift experience is a plus. Applications close Nov 3, 2026.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements.
• Basic math skills and ability to read measurements.

• Forklift certification is an advantage but not required.

Responsibilities

• Wire Cutting: Measure and cut wire and cable to orders and specs using appropriate tools and machinery.
• Operate wire cutting machines safely and maintain equipment.
• Inspect wire and cable for defects before and after cutting.
• Label and package cut wires for shipment or storage.
• Track and manage inventory; report low levels or discrepancies.
• Record cutting activities and quantities in the system.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear PPE.
• Collaborate with warehouse, shipping, and production teams.
• Keep cutting station clean and organized.
• Other duties as assigned.

Warehouse: Wire Cutter

The Wire Cutter Associate is responsible for measuring, cutting, and preparing wire and cables to meet customer specifications. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to operate specialized cutting equipment.

What you'll do:

• Wire Cutting: Measure and cut wire and cable accurately to customer orders and specifications using appropriate tools and machinery.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate wire cutting machines and tools, ensuring equipment is maintained in good working condition.
• Quality Control: Inspect wire and cable for defects or damage before and after cutting to ensure high-quality output.
• Order Fulfillment: Label and package cut wires neatly and accurately for shipment or storage.
• Inventory Management: Track and manage inventory of wire and cable stock, reporting low levels or discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Documentation: Record cutting activities, including measurements and quantities, in the inventory or order management system.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while handling wire and equipment.
• Team Collaboration: Work with warehouse, shipping, and production teams to ensure timely and accurate order processing.
• Work Area Maintenance: Keep the cutting station clean, organized, and free from hazards.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned.

What you'll bring:

• Previous Experience: 1+ years in a warehouse, manufacturing, or similar role preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements.
• Basic math skills, including the ability to read and interpret measurements.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with wire cutting tools and equipment a plus.
• Certifications: Forklift certification is an advantage but not required.

Location: Aurora, CO

Schedule: 3:00pm-11:30pm

Pay starts at $22.00 per hour and includes $1.00 per hour shift differential
