Job summary

QED, based in Denver with operations across Colorado, is hiring for a Wire Cutter Associate in Aurora, CO. The role focuses on measuring, cutting, and preparing wire and cables to meet customer specs while maintaining safety and quality. You will operate cutting equipment, inspect output, and ensure accurate labeling and packaging for shipment.

Ideal candidates have 1+ years in warehousing, strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and good teamwork. Forklift certification is a plus.

• 1+ years in warehouse, manufacturing, or similar role preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements.
• Basic math skills to read measurements.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with wire cutting tools is a plus.
• Forklift certification is an advantage but not required.

Responsibilities

• Wire cutting: measure and cut wire and cable to orders with correct tools.
• Operate wire cutting machines safely and maintain equipment.
• Inspect wire and cable for defects before and after cutting.
• Label and package cut wires for shipment or storage.
• Track inventory and report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Record cutting activities and quantities in the system.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear PPE.
• Collaborate with warehouse, shipping and production teams.
• Keep cutting area clean and organized.
• Other duties as assigned.

Warehouse: Wire Cutter

The Wire Cutter Associate is responsible for measuring, cutting, and preparing wire and cables to meet customer specifications. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to operate specialized cutting equipment.

What You’ll Do

• Wire Cutting: Measure and cut wire and cable accurately to customer orders and specifications using appropriate tools and machinery.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate wire cutting machines and tools, ensuring equipment is maintained in good working condition.
• Quality Control: Inspect wire and cable for defects or damage before and after cutting to ensure high-quality output.
• Order Fulfillment: Label and package cut wires neatly and accurately for shipment or storage.
• Inventory Management: Track and manage inventory of wire and cable stock, reporting low levels or discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Documentation: Record cutting activities, including measurements and quantities, in the inventory or order management system.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while handling wire and equipment.
• Team Collaboration: Work with warehouse, shipping, and production teams to ensure timely and accurate order processing.
• Work Area Maintenance: Keep the cutting station clean, organized, and free from hazards.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned.

What You’ll Bring

• Previous Experience: 1+ years in a warehouse, manufacturing, or similar role preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements.
• Basic math skills, including the ability to read and interpret measurements.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with wire cutting tools and equipment a plus.
• Certifications: Forklift certification is an advantage but not required.

Location: Aurora, CO

Schedule: 3:00pm-11:30pm

Pay starts at $22.00 per hour and includes $1.00 per hour shift differential
