Job summary

A leading electrical distributor based in Kapolei, HI, is seeking a full-time associate for inventory management and wire handling. The role offers a salary of $16.11- $21.49 per hour, based on experience. This position provides various benefits such as paid time off and 401(k) matching. Ideal candidates should have a high school diploma and some experience in utility or distribution roles.

Qualifications

• Utility, Electrical and/or distribution experience preferred but not required.
• High School diploma or G.E.D.; or 6 months of related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Read orders to determine products to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Cutting and spooling wire using machinery.
• Track footages of wire on stock wire reels.
• Communicate low wire inventory levels.
• Convey material and products from receiving area to storage.
• Scan, sort and place material on racks.
• Assemble customer orders from stock.
• Prepare parcels for mailing.
• Complete cycle counts and verify stock quantities.

What you will do:

• Read orders such as customer, work, shipping, and transfer orders to determine products to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Cutting and spooling all different wire sizes using wire cutting machinery.
• Track footages of wire on stock wire reels and updating wire tag marker.
• Communicate when wire inventory levels are low.
• Convey material and products from receiving area to storage or other designated areas.
• Scan, sort and place material on racks, shelves and/or bins according to predetermined distribution center location.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place on pallets or shelves; or convey orders to packing station or shipping department.
• Prepare parcels for mailing.
• Complete cycle counts and verify quantities of stock on request.

What you will bring:

• Utility, Electrical and/or distribution experience preferred but not required
• High School diploma or G.E.D.; or
• 6 months of related experience and/or training; or
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• Occasional lifting and pulling objects weighing up to 50 lbs
• Mix of warehouse and office work environments

This role is based in Kapolei, HI

Work hours:

8:00am – 5:00pm

Salary Range:

• This is a non-exempt position and pays between $16.11- $21.49per hour. This salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, within California. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role.
