Job summary

Hire Up Staffing is seeking a dependable Wire Cutter to join our team in Peoria, IL. This position will cut and spool various sizes of wire, maintain inventory records, pull customer orders, and assist with general warehouse operations.

Pay rate is $19.00/hour with a Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM schedule. The role requires forklift certification and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Forklift certification required.
• Ability to accurately read and follow orders and instructions.
• Basic computer/scanner skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read customer, work, shipping, and transfer orders to determine materials needed.
• Cut and spool various wire sizes using wire-cutting machinery.
• Track wire footage on stock reels and update wire tags/markers.
• Monitor wire inventory and communicate when stock levels are low.
• Receive, scan, sort, and organize materials in designated warehouse locations.
• Pull and assemble customer orders from inventory.
• Place completed orders on pallets, shelves, or in the shipping area.
• Prepare parcels and materials for shipment.
• Perform cycle counts and verify inventory quantities.
• Operate a forklift as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
