Job summary

Cooper Electric Supply, LLC in Syracuse, NY is seeking a motivated warehouse associate to support the wire room and shipping operations. You will review customer tickets, determine wire sizes, cut and label wire accurately, unload and reload reels, restock racks, and maintain a clean, safe, organized workspace in a large distribution center.

This role emphasizes attention to detail, safety, and effective communication in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review customer ticket and accurately determine appropriate size reel and type, size and color of wire needed to complete order
• Correctly measure and cut wire to customer specifications.
• Properly label all completed wire cuts with applicable information, including customer label.
• Unload empty reels and reload new reels onto wire machine
• Restock and replenish wire on wire cutting racks
• Maintain organization and housekeeping of wire room area
• Maintain a clean and safe working area
• Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and OSHA safety standards
• Other duties as assigned

What You Will Do

Physical Requirements And Work Environment

• The ability to stand and walk for the full length of the assigned shift.
• The ability to lift, push, and pull material and objects weighing up to 50 lbs. and heavier weights with proper equipment.
• The ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform various duties.
• The ability to safely operate appropriate powered industrial trucks. Training will be provided.
• This job is performed in a large distribution center warehouse environment.

Salary Range: $18-$19/hr
