Job description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically skilled Machine Operator to join our Wire Cut Department on 3rd shift. You’ll operate a variety of wire-cutting machines (Artos, Komax, Eubanks, and Schleuniger) to cut wire to job-specific dimensions based on MIS cut sheets. This position is essential to the quality and efficiency of our wire harness production process.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Set up and operate wire-cutting machines including Artos, Komax, Eubanks, and Schleuniger.
  2. Configure machines for applicator changes, terminal reels, and wire stamping.
  3. Identify wire types by gauge and specifications.
  4. Conduct regular spot checks to ensure cut wires meet quality and measurement standards.
  5. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  6. Follow company policies and procedures as outlined in the MIS Policy Acknowledgment Form.
Requirements & Skills
  • Mechanical aptitude – Experience with machinery setup, minor troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Attention to detail – Ability to read and interpret measurements accurately.
  • Basic computer skills – Comfortable navigating software and entering data (training provided).
  • Physical ability – Must be able to stand for the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs (occasionally move 50 lbs using a barrel dolly).
  • Communication – Able to clearly report issues to leads or Management.
  • Time management – Work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Shift Details
  • 3rd Shift Weekend Position: Friday through Sunday, 4:30 AM–5:00 PM
  • 4th Shift Weekend Position: Friday through Sunday, 4:30 PM–5:00 AM
  • Total of 36 hours per week
