Job summary
Education Jobs NJ, Montville Township High School, seeks an Assistant Winter Track Coach for the 2026-2027 winter season. The role supports the head coach in running the program and fostering student-athletes’ growth in skills, sportsmanship, and motivation to excel.
The candidate must hold NJ instructional certification or substitute credential, valid CPR/AED and First Aid, and NFHS coaching coursework, with knowledge of track and field and injury prevention.
Qualifications
- Valid NJ Instructional Certification or Substitute Credential (min 30 college credits).
- Current CPR/AED and Basic First Aid (blended/in-person) and NFHS coaching course completion.
- Minimum experience as determined by the Board of Education.
- Knowledge of track and field, conditioning, injury prevention, and student development.
- Ability to maintain a positive learning environment and high conduct standards.
- Background check, TB exam, and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident status.
Responsibilities
- Assist head coach in carrying out program duties and responsibilities.
- Provide leadership to develop and improve athletic program.
- Foster student-athletes' knowledge, skills, sportsmanship, and motivation to excel.
