Job summary

LaBella Associates is seeking a Winter Survey Intern to join our Chattanooga, TN team. You will work with experienced survey staff and Licensed Professional Surveyors on field and office assignments supporting boundary and topographic surveys, construction staking, and related projects during the winter season.

Responsibilities include assisting with field assignments, using GNSS receivers and total stations, and learning to process data with Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or related program.
• Interest in land surveying and willingness to learn field and office workflows.
• Prior survey experience is helpful but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work well on a team.

Responsibilities

• Support boundary and topographic surveys, construction staking, and other projects.
• Assist field crew chief with measurements, notes, sketches, and site documentation.
• Learn to use survey equipment such as GNSS receivers, robotic total stations, levels, scanners, and data collectors.
• Help process survey data and prepare maps or other work products under supervision.
