Job summary

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of livestock care or similar range work experience.
• Ability to work long hours outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Capability to handle sheep safely and follow humane handling practices.

Responsibilities

• Attend to sheep on the range, provide water, food, and basic care.
• Monitor flock, break ice from water sources, and protect animals from weather.
• Maintain fences and facilities, operate range equipment, and report welfare concerns.
• Tend to guard dogs, horses, and use humane handling procedures as needed.
