Penn State Health is offering a Winter Nurse Externship in Surgical Telemetry–Med/Surg. This four‑week program (Dec 14, 2026 – Jan 9, 2027) provides hands‑on experience, expert mentorship, and a real‑world view of nursing before graduation.

Orientation days are mandatory for the first three days, with limited spots available to prepare for licensure and career steps. Eligibility includes nursing students in accredited programs with a clinical rotation, or graduate nurses without boards.

Qualifications

• Nursing student in an accredited Nursing Program with one clinical rotation.
• Graduate Nurse without Boards required.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit under expert mentorship.
• Observe and participate in nursing duties for the Surgical Telemetry floor.
• Prepare for next steps in nursing education and licensure.
