Job summary

MedStar Georgetown University Hospital invites nursing students to join the Winter 2026 Nurse Extern Cohort. The program runs for 4 weeks starting in December 2026, with a schedule of 36–40 hours per week including shift and weekend rotations.

Applicants must be actively enrolled in an accredited nursing program, in good standing, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and currently in or entering final year by December 1, 2026. BLS certification is required. No prior experience is necessary.

Qualifications

• Completion of Nursing Fundamentals by December 1, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Support nursing team during the 4-week externship.
