Job summary

Sundance Mountain Resort is seeking a Winter Lift Operator - Level I to work outdoors and help guests enjoy the mountain experience. You will operate and assist with lifts, maintain safety, and connect with guests while surrounded by Sundance’s scenery.

The role emphasizes guest service, teamwork, and a positive, safety‑minded approach during day and night shifts with weekend and holiday availability.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to lift 50 lb regularly and up to 100 lb occasionally.
• Skiing or snowboarding at an intermediate level.
• Weekend and holiday availability required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and ensure they feel taken care of at the lift.
• Monitor, start, and stop lift operations; assist with loading/unloading; organize lift lines; monitor ticket gantry; keep lift areas safe.
• Help maintain snow around stations; set up/break down mazes; communicate with supervisors and safety staff to keep operations smooth.
• Support guest experiences; scan passes, answer questions, stay calm and professional during unexpected situations.

• A big part of this role is supporting guest experiences. Whether you're scanning passes, answering questions, or helping someone new to the mountain, you're a resource and a friendly face. When unexpected situations arise, you'll stay calm and handle them with professionalism while keeping the focus on safety and enjoyment.
