DESCRIPTION:

Winter Haven Honda is currently looking for an outgoing and dependable individual to maintain the dealership lot. The Lot Attendant / Porter will inspect vehicles for damage, move customer vehicles in and around the lot and service areas, ensure vehicles are kept in a clean and damage-free manner, and assist with cleaning and custodial duties in the shop and lot areas.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, an unrestricted driver's license and a clean driving record, a positive attitude and professional appearance, and great communication skills. Candidates must be willing and able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment that includes enduring the heat of summer and the cold of winter. They must also be able to drive both automatic and standard transmission vehicles. Experience as a Lot Attendant and/or knowledge of automotive servicing and repair is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Keep vehicle lots neat and orderly, moving cars as directed and in accordance with dealership display standards.
  • Move vehicles to maintain flow of traffic.
  • Create key tags for vehicles.
  • Retrieve vehicles for customers when picking up, and thank customers for their business.
  • Help maintain a clean and safe service area by performing general cleaning duties (trash removal, sweeping, etc.).
  • Follow all safety and security procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience preferred.
  • Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles.
  • Able to operate motor vehicles safely in tight and small spaces.
  • Neat, clean, and professional appearance.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Basic computer and internet skills.
