Job summary

Penns Grove High School in New Jersey is seeking a Head Cheerleading Coach for the Winter season. The role reports to the Athletic Director and Building Principal, with duties including team development, game oversight, and compliance with district and NJSIAA regulations.

Qualifications

New Jersey Teacher Certification or County Substitute Teacher Certification.
Knowledge of the sport which the individual intends to coach.
Knowledge of NJSIAA conference and school regulations.

Responsibilities

Attend all meetings, practices, scrimmages, and games.
Develop and carry out the program to teach the appropriate skills to the athletes under his/her charge.
Care for distribution, collection, and storage of uniforms and equipment.
Supervise players at all times when players are under his/her jurisdiction.
Prepare a budget as per the Athletic Director.
Keep team members informed of practice schedules, games, cancellations and other pertinent information.
Use positive methods to teach team members proper sportsmanship, attitudes, and behavior.
