Job summary

H2ajobs in Billings, MT is seeking Winter Cattle Feeders to care for livestock during winter months. You will drive trucks and equipment to distribute feed, repair gear, and move cattle between pastures using horses or ATVs.

This outdoor role involves lifting hay bales up to 100 pounds, working in extreme cold, and operating tractors to clear snow. Housing and meals are provided; transportation to stores and other basics is arranged by the employer.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months of ranch experience.
• Valid driver's license required for hauling feed.
• Able to work outdoors in extreme cold and weather.
• Self-sufficient in winter conditions.

Responsibilities

• Drive trucks and equipment to distribute feed to livestock.
• Repair equipment and tires to keep operation running.
• Lift hay bales weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Move cattle and feed using feeding equipment and animals as needed.
• Operate tractor with blade to clear snow and maintain access.
• Assist with calving and sorting of cattle if required.
