Job summary

H2ajobs is seeking Winter Cattle Feeders to care for livestock during winter months. The job involves driving trucks, distributing feed, and performing basic equipment maintenance in harsh outdoor conditions. You must lift up to 100 pounds and can ride a horse or 4-wheeler to move cattle.

Experience of at least 3 months and a valid driver’s license for hauling are required. Housing and meals are provided by the employer; transportation to stores and subsistence costs may be covered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months’ experience is required.
• Driver's License is required for hauling feed and back hauls.
• Must be able to work outdoors in extreme cold and weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Drive trucks and distribute feed to livestock on the range.
• Perform equipment and tire repairs to keep gear operating.
• Lift hay bales up to 100 pounds and clear ice in winter water supply.
• Move cows or horses using horses, a 4-wheeler, or other equipment.
• Operate tractor with blade to move snow and keep access clear.
