Job summary

LPU Batangas is seeking an internship candidate to support audit engagements and routine accounting tasks. You will draft financial statements and prepare parts of compilation, review, and audit engagements while building skills in accounting pronouncements and income tax basics.

Ideal candidates are pursuing accounting degrees, show CPA progress, and can commit at least 20 hours per week. Travel to local clients will be required, with access to transportation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting at least 75% complete.
• Progress towards CPA exam eligibility is expected.
• Good communication and computer skills are required.
• Team players motivated to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer-focused and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Able to commit a minimum of 20 hours per week.
• Willingness to travel locally to clients 80%+ with access to a car or public transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with and provide quality audit services to the Firm’s clients in authentic engagements.
• Develop relationships with clients and employees.
• Assist clients with routine accounting functions.
• Draft financial statements under prescribed formatting.
• Prepare portions of compilation, review, and audit engagements.
• Develop a working knowledge of microcomputer applications routinely used.
• Gain knowledge of accounting pronouncements and basic income tax understanding.
