Job summary

Gemini is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to work on the Gemini platform, solving complex problems and gaining hands-on experience in blockchain products. The role offers opportunities for frontend and/or backend work depending on interests, with mentorship from senior engineers.

This semester-long internship runs January to April 2027, located in New York City with a hybrid work model balancing in-person collaboration at our NY office and remote work flexibility.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related degree (Bachelor’s, Associate, or Master’s).
• Passionate about blockchain, digital assets, and the Web3 industry.
• Strong communication, proactive mindset, and ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Drive development of new features on the Gemini platform within small, fast-moving teams.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to improve design, testing, and scalability, while receiving mentorship.
• Contribute ideas during planning and design discussions to influence key initiatives.
• Review code for correctness, performance, and security, learning from experienced engineers.
• Improve reliability, performance, and maintainability through refactoring and improvements.
• Support production by diagnosing and resolving alerts or bugs in real-world operations.
