Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Co-op in Lexington, MA to support aerospace structures made from carbon fiber composites. You will collaborate with design and manufacturing teams, translating requirements into verifiable tests and practical solutions.

In this role you’ll perform trade studies, help procure hardware, and verify effectiveness of your designs while gaining exposure to autonomous flight tech and U.S. defense programs.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Must be returning to school after internship to continue studies for at least one quarter/semester.
• U.S. Person due to access requirements; U.S. clearance may be required.

As a Manufacturing Engineer Co-op, you will work on projects supporting teams designing and building aerospace structures using carbon fiber composite material systems. As an intern you will have direct exposure to engineers designing and analyzing composite structures in aerospace programs, and to technicians manufacturing those structures.

What You'll Do

• Test, verify, and demonstrate the effectiveness of your solutions

Required Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Must be returning to school at the end of the internship to continue academic studies for at least one quarter or semester.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities; U.S. clearance eligibility may be required depending on program.
• Ability to complete an in-person 16-24 week internship in one of our offices in summer 2027.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience leading project and working with data collection, analysis, and driving improvements.
• Hands-on experience with R/C and/or autonomous flight vehicles, flight controllers, or other related control systems
• A genuine interest in manufacturing and desire to learn.
• Coursework, internships, or school-related experience in a relevant field, preferably manufacturing related.
• Exposure to PCBA fabrication, including coursework or project work with SMT processes.
• Hands-on experience physically manufacturing hardware via any means (machining, fabrication, soldering, assembly, etc.), including work on personal or extracurricular projects.
• Software scripting experience in any language.
• Familiarity with CAD software, Manufacturing Execution Systems, or ERP/MRP systems.

US Hourly Range

$32-45 USD
