Job summary
WSP is seeking a Transportation Planning Engineer to join our Winnipeg team, stepping into a Project Manager role and delivering multi‑modal transportation planning and engineering across Canada. You’ll work on-site in Winnipeg with a multidisciplinary team and help lead projects that improve mobility and community outcomes.
The ideal candidate has a degree in Transportation Engineering, a P.Eng license, 5–8+ years of experience, proficiency with Synchro/SimTraffic and other transport software,
Qualifications
- Degree in Transportation Engineering (BEng/MEng) and P.Eng license.
- 5–8+ years of experience in transportation engineering and planning, including impact assessments and project management.
- Proficiency with major transportation software and strong technical writing.
- Experience in traffic operations and site analysis with data-driven solutions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on multi-disciplinary transportation projects from data collection to reporting.
- Lead and coordinate analysis for multi-modal transportation, transit, and traffic projects.
- Develop and oversee technical memos and reports communicating results and recommendations.
- Engage with clients and communities through meetings and public consultations.
- Support project coordination and progression toward leadership opportunities.
- Mentor team members and manage client relationships effectively.
