WinField United Associate Program - Market Development Agronomist (MDA)

We seek a full-time Market Development Agronomist (MDA) Associate to help expand our seed and crop protection products, services, and market reach. The role involves conducting research and analysis related to our products, collaborating with the MDA team on project planning and execution, and supporting training initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive problem-solving approach. Responsibilities include facilitating training sessions and communicating technical agronomic information to sales teams, retail sellers, and growers to enhance understanding of active ingredients, modes of action, pest or nutrient deficiencies, and agronomic recommendations. This will help promote products that reduce crop stresses and improve yields and profitability.

Training Program : This role offers a 2-year rotation with structured learning and mentorship to deepen agronomy expertise and develop skills for career growth, potentially leading to roles such as an agronomist or advanced sales position within our organization.

Work Location : Eastern Kansas

Requirements :

  • Undergrad or master's student in agronomy or related field, with a Dec or May graduation date
  • Sales or ag retail experience, with customer interaction and sales skills; prior sales experience preferred
  • Knowledge of the retail system
  • Desire to learn technical agronomy and become a subject matter expert
  • Willingness to travel 50% or more, including daily, extended hours, and occasional overnight stays within the assigned area
  • Proactive communication skills, including seeking clarification and sharing updates
  • Ability to customize presentations and communicate effectively to diverse audiences
  • Organizational skills for managing data, documents, and projects
