Ste. Michelle Wine Estates is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II to support our night shift and day shift facilities team at Columbia Crest Winery in Paterson, WA.

This role maintains equipment across the plant, troubleshoots issues, installs systems, and mentors junior technicians while adhering to safety, GMPs, and SOPs. Responsibilities include calibrating and aligning mechanical equipment, using CMMS (JDE), reading blueprints, and collaborating with planning teams to maximize uptime and

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of Control Logix, RS networks, and Factory Talk programming software.
• Working knowledge of VFDs, electrical motors, process controls (PLCs), lighting and sensor systems.
• Experience with thermal imaging, meters, and test equipment for preventive maintenance.
• Welding, fabrication knowledge including MIG, TIG, STICK for stainless steel, mild steel and aluminum.
• Proven track record of continuous improvement methodologies and root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with AC and DC electrical systems up to 480 V and related controls.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections and unplanned repairs following safety procedures and GMPs.
• Provide training and coaching to Level II technicians to grow their skillset.
• Install and align motors, gear boxes, pumps, and other mechanical systems.
• Use diagnostic tools such as VOM, AMP meters and other equipment for maintenance.
• Utilize CMMS (JDE) for work orders, documentation and follow-up repairs.
• Complete work in a timely manner to meet weekly and long-term maintenance plans.
• Follow preventative maintenance plans, SOPs and scope of work.
• Engage in project discussions to increase equipment and production efficiencies.
• Promote preventive maintenance to reduce unplanned breakdowns.
• Read blueprints and process control diagrams for troubleshooting and repair.
• Perform calculations for operation metrics such as volumes, area, flow and thermal loads.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
