Job Summary

Job Title: Wine and Spirits Clerk/Cashier (Weekends and Evenings)

Reports To: Wine and Spirits Department Manager

Assist the Wine and Spirits department by working closely with all associates to ensure adherence to company policies, achievement of department goals, and meeting associates’ needs.

Provide expertise on Wine & Spirits products, such as wine pairings and local craft beers, to enhance guest experiences and guide their selections.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Meet department standards for Wine and Spirits.
• Monitor sales floor and stock conditions; address issues promptly.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels and accurate pricing.
• Collaborate with vendors, managers, and associates to exceed guest expectations.
• Deliver excellent customer service.
• Assist guests in locating items and handling special requests.
• Answer phone calls professionally.
• Resolve guest concerns and issues.
• Process transactions at the cash register.
• Keep the department clean and organized.
• Ensure quality standards and quantity expectations are met, with specific targets at 10 am and 5 pm.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance, providing adequate notice for absences.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 21 years old to sample products.
• Effective communication and tactful customer interaction skills.
• Knowledge of safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to operate equipment such as hand jacks, forklifts, and scanners safely.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Ability to stand for long periods, walk, bend, and kneel.
• Manual dexterity and coordination for equipment use.
• Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Exposure to temperature variations.

WORK SCHEDULE

Includes mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on availability.
