Job Summary

Job Title: Wine and Spirits Cashier

Reports To: Wine and Spirits Department Manager

The role involves maintaining outstanding customer service, working closely with all Wine and Spirits associates to ensure compliance with company policies, achievement of department goals, and meeting associates’ needs. Associates will personalize guest experiences by providing expertise on wine and spirits products for various occasions, guiding guests to the perfect selections.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meet all department standards for Wine and Spirits.
  • Monitor sales floor and back stock, taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels and ensure accurate pricing.
  • Collaborate with vendors, the Wine and Spirits Manager, and associates to uphold standards and exceed guest expectations.
  • Provide excellent customer service and assist guests in finding products.
  • Stay informed about current promotions and advertisements.
  • Process transactions accurately and maintain cash/media at registers.
  • Handle special orders and requests.
  • Answer phone calls professionally and assist callers.
  • Resolve guest concerns and issues effectively.
  • Ensure the register area is orderly and stocked.
  • Support and execute superior customer service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and maintain regular, timely attendance.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Contribute to cleanliness and organization of the department.
  • High School diploma or equivalent; experience considered.
  • Must be at least 21 years old to sample products.
  • Effective tactful communication skills.
  • Understanding of safety policies and ability to recognize hazards.
  • Must be over 18 years old.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Ability to stand for long periods, walk, bend, stoop, and kneel.
  • Require manual dexterity and coordination to operate equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures.

WORK SCHEDULE

Schedules may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on availability.
