Job summary

Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine in Florida is seeking an experienced server to provide exceptional hospitality in our full-service restaurant. The role requires at least two years in a similar setting and wine knowledge, with an hourly wage plus tips and benefits.

You will work days, nights, weekends and holidays, report to the Manager on Duty, and contribute to outstanding guest experiences through friendly suggestive selling and accurate order taking.

Qualifications

• Two years experience in a similar full-service restaurant.
• Wine knowledge is required.
• Standing / Walking up to 8 hours continuously; lifting up to 50 lbs alone, up to 80 lbs with a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide legendary service to bar guests according to standard operating procedures.
• Have adequate menu knowledge and make guest recommendations.
• Taking guests and entering guest orders accurately into Toast handhelds.
• Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, taking drink orders and providing recommendations.
• Enhance guest experience to encourage repeat visits by serving food and beverages in a timely manner.
• Follow Allergy and Dietary Restriction Policy when alerted by a guest.
• Check guests’ identification to ensure minimum age for alcohol.
• Properly open and serve bottled wine to guests.
• Monitor and observe guests dining experience and address problems promptly.
• Process payments and handle cash and credit transactions accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining area and service stations.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with colleagues to meet guests' needs and support restaurant operations.
• Thank guests and invite them to return using authentic Turkish phrases.
• Roll silverware and set up dining areas for next shift or large parties.
• Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, condiments, food, tableware, and linens.
• Take and prepare to-go orders.
