Job summary

Yamaha is seeking a Winds & Strings Marketing Intern for the Spring/Summer term (January – July). This paid internship is based in Buena Park, CA with hybrid scheduling.

Ideal candidates are self-motivated, eager to learn, and capable of handling a real-world business project. Responsibilities include supporting dealer and consumer communications, assisting with marketing materials, and attending industry events.

Qualifications

• Sophomore, junior, or senior from an accredited University.
• Experience in retail music environment is helpful but not required.
• Some experience playing a brass or woodwind instrument is required.
• Minimum GPA of 2.7.
• Strong written communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic marketing tools.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with dealers, consumers, district sales managers, and internal staff to answer questions.
• Attend industry trade shows, clinics and artist performances.
• Coordinate product and support materials for shows.
• Analyze competitive markets and create product/price comparisons.
• Assist with production of website and marketing materials (print ads, social media, flyers, catalogs, etc.).
• Complete a final intern project researching and solving a real-world business issue.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
