Perrygo Consulting Group, LLC is seeking a Windows System Administrator and Team Lead to manage a 9-person on-site team at Patuxent River NAS, Lexington Park, MD. The role combines hands-on Windows server/desktop administration with leadership of day-to-day activities and RMF tasks such as STIGs and ACAS scans.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of Windows server experience, Team Lead background, and a TS or higher clearance (interim acceptable).

Qualifications

• 7+ years Windows server administration.
• Team Lead experience.
• Security+ or other qualifying CSWF certifications.
• Top Secret or above clearance; US Citizen; interim clearance acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 9 Systems Administrators on-site at Patuxent River NAS.
• Perform system admin duties for Windows Servers and desktops; monitor health and troubleshoot.
• Manage RMF tasks such as STIGs and ACAS scans.
• Handle patching, backups, disk cleanup, and storage allocation.
• Oversee AD user/group management and permissions.
• Create/update PowerShell scripts to automate tasks.
• Provide monthly status reports and supervise team tasks and SOPs.
• Other duties as assigned.

We are excited for the opportunity to bring aboard highly motivated and energetic individuals to join our teams. Currently, we are seeking a Windows System Administrator and Team Lead. This role supports our Navy customer in Lexington Park, MD.

Job Description and Responsibilities: Lead a team of 9 Systems Administrators on-site full-time at Patuxent River NAS. The Team Lead will also perform system administrator duties and assist with day‑to‑day management of Windows Servers and desktop systems (hardware and software), including monitoring performance, checking system health, troubleshoot systems and user account issues, and RMF authorization tasks such as STIGs and ACAS scanning.

• Support routine server maintenance tasks, including disk cleanup, storage allocation, and verifying backups.
• Perform basic user and group management in Active Directory, such as creating accounts, resetting passwords, and updating permissions.
• Oversee and maintain patching by applying updates and mitigations, and documenting completed work.
• Monitor event logs and escalate issues related to system errors, warnings, or security alerts.
• Create, update and manage BATCH/PowerShell scripts for automating tasks.
• Apply STIGs and complete ACAS scans
• Manage team tasking, build sprints, maintain SOPs, provide monthly status reports, and supervisory tasks
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Basic Requirements: 7+ years Windows server administration. Team Lead experience.

Security+ or other qualifying CSWF certifications.

Education Requirements: Degree preferred.

Security Clearance: Top Secret or above (must be a US Citizen). Candidate can start with an interim clearance.

Telework and Travel: On-site 100%.

Contract: This position is supporting an active, funded contract.
