Job summary

Veriipro is seeking a Senior Windows & SQL Server Administrator to join our IT Operations team. You will provide advanced support for Windows Server and SQL Server environments, ensuring reliability, security, and compliance across systems.

Responsibilities include leading Level 3 support, staying current with Microsoft technologies, guiding compliance activities, and collaborating with Windows Engineering to implement new capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Microsoft Certifications (Azure Administrator, MCSE, VMware VCP) are a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 3 support for Windows Servers and SQL Server instances, including troubleshooting and incident resolution.
  • Maintain an in-depth awareness of Microsoft technologies, roadmaps, and industry best practices.
  • Lead and ensure the timely completion of compliance and regulatory activities.
  • Collaborate with the Windows Engineering team to design and implement new technologies and enhancements.
  • Drive proactive monitoring, tracking, and reporting, while identifying and implementing process improvements for Windows and SQL Server platforms.
  • Research, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities to maintain a secure infrastructure.
  • Participate actively in Sev.1 and Sev.2 incident management, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
  • Evaluate the impact of infrastructure changes and ensure the current architecture supports planned changes.
  • Support after-hours activities and resolve production-related issues as required.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Windows & SQL Server Administrator to join our IT Operations team. The ideal candidate will provide advanced support for Microsoft Windows Server and SQL Server environments, participate in strategic technology initiatives, and ensure system reliability, security, and compliance.


Roles and Responsibilities


  • Provide Level 3 support for Microsoft Windows Servers and SQL Server instances, including troubleshooting and incident resolution.

  • Maintain an in-depth awareness of Microsoft technologies, roadmaps, and industry best practices.

  • Lead and ensure the timely completion of compliance and regulatory activities.

  • Collaborate with the Windows Engineering team to design and implement new technologies and enhancements.

Required Technical & Functional Skills


  • Strong experience in Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, DNS, IIS, Terminal Server, SCOM, and File & Print Server.

  • Proven expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, including designing, implementing, and managing HADR solutions such as Failover Cluster Instances and AlwaysOn Availability Groups.

  • Experience with virtualization technologies, including VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V.

  • Working knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, MCSE, VMware VCP) are a plus.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
