The Organization is seeking a Windows Server Engineer focusing on designing solutions around the Windows operating system. Working with the latest technology, including Windows Server 2008, 2012 and SCCM, this role will work with other Engineering teams and stakeholders to develop end-to-end solutions. This role involves project-related work in an Engineering lab environment and is not an operational role. This is an exciting, challenging and rewarding role for a dynamic senior technologist with a passion for delivering excellent products and services.
The core responsibility will be to develop and maintain the core Windows platform for the Organization. By understanding specific requirements of the stakeholders, the Windows Engineer will test and certify new versions of the Windows operating system and be able to develop end-to-end solutions for applications used at the Organization, including Oracle, VMware, MS‑SQL, SharePoint, Sybase, Exchange, web, etc. Working both independently and as part of larger teams, the Windows Engineer will develop designs, test plans, execute the test plans and validate the design in a lab environment, and document the final solution.
The Windows Engineer is responsible for developing and documenting global standards. When possible, the Windows Engineer will integrate automation into the solutions, either via custom scripts or third‑party solutions. The Windows Engineer will provide third‑level support for the operations teams, including working closely with both the Organization's operations teams and the vendors to troubleshoot critical and complex production issues.
