Northrop Grumman is seeking a Windows Server Administrator/Principal Windows Server Administrator to maintain and enhance Windows Systems and Infrastructure for the Air & Cyberspace Intelligence Group (AC) and Space, Missiles, and Forces Intelligence Group (SM) at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. NASIC is responsible for creating all-source intelligence defining the present and future air, air defense, cyber, space and ballistic missile threats to enable military operations, force modernization, and policy making. Successful candidates will clearly demonstrate strong technical skills to achieve high availability, security, and integrity for the operating environment. They should have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This Windows Systems Administrator will be an active part of a team of Systems, Network, and Storage Administrators who collaborate to support two production networks and a R&D environment to include Linux and Windows.

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

Basic Qualifications for a Windows Server Administrator:
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience or a master’s degree with 0 years of experience or a high school diploma or GED equivalent with 6 years relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in Windows Server Administration.
  • Experience with network switch configuration.
  • Active IAT Level II certification (such as CASP+, Security+, or CISSP).
Basic Qualifications for a Principal Windows Server Administrator:
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience or a master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience or a high school diploma or GED equivalent with 9 years relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in Windows Server Administration.
  • Experience with network switch configuration.
  • Active IAT Level II certification (such as CASP+, Security+, or CISSP).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with SQL databases such as MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server
  • Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager/Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager experience.
  • SolarWinds SIEM Configuration
  • HTC Condor
  • Elasticsearch/Kibana
  • Jenkins
  • Experience in enterprise backup and restore solutions, storage area network (SAN), and network attached storage (NAS).
  • Experience with scripting using tools such as PowerShell, Perl, Bash, etc.
  • Experience with hardware installation and maintenance to include firmware upgrades.
  • Experience with security compliance and related security scanning products.

Salary Range: $73,900.00 - $110,900.00 Salary Range 2: $91,200.00 - $136,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
