Job summary

Infowave Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Windows Platform & Automation Engineer to own the Windows Server platform lifecycle in a hybrid Holyoke, MA environment.

You will drive patching, OS upgrades, server builds, and remediation while collaborating with infrastructure and security teams. The role emphasizes building and maintaining runbooks, standards, and security baselines, with a strong focus on automation using PowerShell and Ansible.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in engineering, securing, and supporting Windows Server environments.
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell; patch management and remediation.
• Experience supporting Windows Server across physical, VMware, Nutanix, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
• Ability to develop and improve runbooks, standards, and security baselines.
• Strong collaboration with infrastructure, security, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the Windows Server platform lifecycle: patching, OS upgrades, builds, retirements, remediation.
• Define and improve processes, standards, documentation, and runbooks.
• Partner with system administrators to execute platform activities with governance.
• Drive automation and efficiency via PowerShell, Ansible, and tooling.
• Maintain Windows security baselines and Group Policy standards.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure and Security to improve reliability, security, and supportability.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to modernize the Windows platform and reduce debt.
• Provide technical leadership and promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
