Job summary

Talon Defense, Inc. in Arlington or Herndon, VA is seeking a Windows Kernel Developer to design and analyze low-level Windows components for national security projects. This on-site role requires deep kernel experience and a TS clearance.

You'll perform reverse engineering of binaries, collaborate with cybersecurity researchers, and ensure secure, well-documented code across the embedded Windows stack.

Compensation ranges from $160,000 to $225,000 per year, plus benefits and a performance bonus.

Qualifications

• Experience in Windows kernel development (drivers, internals)
• Strong reverse engineering skills with IDA Pro, Ghidra, and WinDbg
• Proficiency in C/C++ and debugging/performance tuning
• Deep understanding of Windows OS internals and system architecture
• Active Top Secret clearance or higher

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Windows kernel space components
• Reverse engineer binaries to identify functionality and vulnerabilities
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to develop tools
• Analyze undocumented OS behaviors and assist integration
