  • Manage and optimize complex Active Directory forests, domains, trusts, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs), including advanced troubleshooting and migration activities.
  • Oversee and configure enterprise DNS infrastructure, including integration with AD and external DNS systems, ensuring secure and reliable name resolution across domains.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices, including patch management, access controls, and monitoring for compliance with DoD and Intelligence Community requirements.
  • Perform regular system audits, vulnerability assessments, and remediation of security threats in accordance with IAT Level 2 and DoD 8570 requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior administrators and support staff.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support mission-critical applications and services.
  • Prepare and present technical documentation, reports, and briefings to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Participate in incident response, disaster recovery planning, and execution of business continuity strategies.
Qualifications
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Possess or be able to obtain at least a DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, SSCP, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, or GSEC).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience managing large-scale, multi-domain Windows enterprise environments with complex AD and DNS requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows Server OS, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management.
  • Experience with AD integrated DNS zones, trust relationships, and secure dynamic updates.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell) for system administration tasks.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, security controls, and compliance frameworks relevant to DoD/IC environments.
  • Preferred: Prior experience supporting DoD, Intelligence Community, or other federal government environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to brief technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in high-security, mission-driven environments.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in cybersecurity and enterprise IT best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
