Job summary

Delan Associates, Inc. is seeking an SME-level engineer for long-term contract work focused on Windows automation, logging, and administration across hybrid infrastructure.

The role covers unified monitoring, automated alerting, data integration, and dashboard development across Linux, Windows, VMware, and mainframe environments. You will implement scalable automation with Python, Ansible, and PowerShell, working with Splunk, Dynatrace, and diverse databases and storage systems.

Qualifications

• Automation & scripting proficiency in Python, Ansible, PowerShell, and Bash/Korn shells.
• Hands-on experience with Splunk, Dynatrace, and enterprise monitoring platforms.
• Strong Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server knowledge; familiarity with VMware, IBM Power/AIX, IBM LinuxOne.
• Experience with storage arrays, SAN/network switches, and IP traffic monitoring.
• Backup platforms experience with Rubrik, Data Domain, Infinibox, and related databases.
• GUI dashboard development using Flask or Django to provide real-time monitoring.
• Data integration: aggregating data from multiple sources for unified alerting.
• Security/logs awareness and compliance considerations for infra monitoring.
• Creative problem-solving to close visibility gaps in monitoring.
• 5+ years in infrastructure automation or systems engineering; distributed environments.

Responsibilities

• Build an integrated Unified Monitoring Framework using Splunk, Dynatrace, and local logs.
• Develop automated alerting and remediation workflows to speed incident resolution.
• Aggregate and normalize data from diverse sources to close visibility gaps.
• Create a GUI-based dashboard for real-time monitoring, alerting, and reporting.
• Deliver scalable automation solutions using Ansible, Python, PowerShell, and shell scripting.
