Windows and Azure System Administrator (Remote)

GovCIO is hiring a highly skilled Windows and Azure System Administrator with experience in cloud environments for the Department of Veterans Affairs. The candidate will maintain the infrastructure, ensure optimal system performance, and uphold security measures. This position is fully remote within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Implement and optimize monitoring solutions to track system health, performance, and security.
• Conduct regular maintenance, updates, and patch management to ensure system stability and efficiency.
• Develop, enforce, and maintain security protocols to safeguard systems and sensitive data.
• Perform routine security audits and vulnerability assessments to proactively mitigate risks.
• Ensure proper connectivity between on-premises sources and cloud destinations.
• Diagnose and resolve complex system, network, and database issues efficiently.
• Provide technical support for end-users and collaborate with IT teams to optimize system functionality.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology with 12+ years of experience or equivalent professional experience.
• Expertise in Self-Hosted Integration Runtime.
• Knowledge of cloud storage solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Ability to troubleshoot storage performance issues.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in designing and implementing architecture to support scalable and efficient system development.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
• Monitor and fine-tune SHIR to enhance data transfer speed and reliability.
