Job summary

Atos is seeking a Windows / Cloud Engineer to manage a mixed on-premises and cloud environment. The role covers Windows Server administration across multiple locations, with on-call duties and some weekend work.

You’ll work with virtualized platforms (Nutanix, VMware, KVM) and cloud workloads, implementing automation with Ansible, Python and PowerShell, and supporting Exchange/Skype On-Line and Citrix environments.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with virtualization and cloud platforms.
• Experience with Windows Server environments and Active Directory is a plus.
• Ability to work on-call and handle weekend rotation may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24x7x365 support for Windows, Citrix, Exchange, Skype On-Line and virtualization environments.
• Maintain and administer cloud-based workloads and automation scripts.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and perform basic problem resolution using monitoring tools.
• Escalate complex issues as needed to maintain service levels.

Job description

The Windows / Cloud Engineer position manages an environment of servers, on premises and cloud based, providing on-call 24x7x365 support, and some weekend work. Windows-based OS specific duties include responsibility for knowledge of Windows Operating System using Microsoft Active Directory across multiple locations; installation, maintenance and administration of multiple virtual servers (Nutanix, VMware and Cloud); maintenance of a Citrix server environment and/or Messaging platforms (Exchange and Skype On-Line). Responsible for configuration and administration of cloud-based workload and creating and maintaining automation scripts and workflows.

Essential Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities: All Levels: Level I:

• Familiarity with virtualization and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and or AWS.
• Familiarity with Nutanix, VMware and or KVM.
• Familiarity with automation using playbooks and scripting languages such as Ansible, Python and Power Shell.
• Provides basic oversight of the activities of Windows, Citrix, Exchange and Skype On-Line and Virtualization environments. Maintains a basic level of knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating System, Citrix, Exchange and Skype On-Line and appropriate peripherals. Provides 24x7 overall Operations/Deployment/Problem support for the Microsoft Windows Operating System, Citrix, Exchange and Skype On-Line environments. Provides overall basic operations support for the Windows, Citrix, Exchange and Skype On-Line and Virtualization (Nutanix, Cloud Based, VMware) environments through daily/weekly/monthly/annually defined maintenance activities. Provides basic problem determination and resolution for the Windows, Citrix, Exchange and Skype On-Line and Virtualization environments from both monitoring systems and escalated help desk tickets
