Job summary

Penske Rapid Repair, a Penske Automotive Group dealership, is seeking a Window/Glass Technician for commercial trucks and fleet vehicles. You will diagnose, repair, and replace glass, remove/install windshields and other glass components, and calibrate systems as needed.

Mobile service calls to customer sites are part of the role. The position offers stable, year-round work with a growing commercial fleet base and a benefits package including health care and a 401k plan.

Qualifications

• Must have strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools.
• Valid drivers license with clean driving record is required.
• Experience with automotive or heavy equipment glass installation is a plus.

The Window/Glass Technician diagnoses and performs glass repairs on vehicles with efficiency, accuracy, and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer/factory standards.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Diagnose, repair, and replace damaged glass on commercial trucks and fleet vehicles.
• Remove and install windshields, side glass, rear glass, and specialty glass components.
• Calibrate and verify vehicle systems related to glass replacement when required.
• Inspect vehicles for damage and document repair recommendations.
• Perform mobile service calls at customer locations and fleet yards as needed.
• Ensure proper use of adhesives, tools, and materials in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Communicate professionally with customers, fleet managers, and team members.
• Complete repair orders and related documentation accurately and on time.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Previous experience in automotive, commercial truck, RV, bus, or heavy equipment glass installation preferred.
• Experience working with Class 6-8 trucks, fleet vehicles, or commercial equipment is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical work throughout the day.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
