Job summary

Preston Feather Building Centers in Northern Michigan is seeking a Window & Door Service & Installation Leader to lead our service team and drive installation capabilities. You’ll own the service and installation operation, develop the team, and partner with sales to support builder customers.

This hands-on role blends field and office work to deliver reliable, high‑quality projects and scalable processes.

Preston Feather is looking for a Window & Door Service & Installation Leader to lead our service team and continue building the service, project support and installation capabilities behind our growing Window & Door business.

This is a leadership role with the opportunity to build and shape an important part of Preston Feather’s Window & Door business. As our customers take on increasingly complex projects and look to us for more support beyond the products we sell, we’re continuing to invest in the capabilities and team behind them. You’ll take ownership of our service and installation operation, lead and develop the team behind it, and help us continue expanding how we support our professional customers.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading and developing our Window & Door service team.
• Overseeing service, warranty and project-support work for our customers.
• Managing installation projects and relationships with our installation partners.
• Working closely with our Window & Door sales team to help our builder customers successfully plan and execute their projects.
• Coordinating with builders, vendors and field teams to keep projects moving and solve problems when they arise.
• Building strong processes and standards around how we deliver service and installation work.
• Spending time in the field to support the team, understand what’s happening on our jobsites and ensure quality work.
• Looking for opportunities to make the operation better as we continue to grow.

• Knows construction and is comfortable working around jobsites, builders and trades.
• Has experience leading people, crews, projects or subcontractors.
• Can keep multiple projects and priorities moving without losing track of the details.
• Is a strong communicator who can work equally well with customers, salespeople, technicians, vendors and contractors.
• Likes solving problems and isn’t afraid to jump in when something needs attention.
• Can create structure and accountability without making things unnecessarily complicated.
• Wants to lead from both the office and the field.
• Takes ownership and follows things through.
