Job summary

PARR is looking for a Delivery Assistant to support the Delivery Driver in moving products from the warehouse to job sites. You will maintain safety standards and provide excellent customer service in every delivery.

Ideal candidates are punctual, reliable, and team-oriented, with basic building material knowledge and English fluency. This role reports to the GM/Production Manager depending on location and involves some physical work outdoors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to read a tape measure accurately.
• Familiarity with GPS devices or map apps.
• Knowledge of building materials helps with deliveries.
• Clear written and spoken English communication.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload building materials from trucks.
• Travel to destinations via public/private roads.
• Complete mileage and fuel usage reports.
• Ensure on-time and in-full deliveries with safety in mind.
• Photograph deliveries and verify load accuracy.
• Maintain relationships with customers, contractors, and vendors.
• Keep yard, warehouse, and vehicle clean and organized.
• Be proactive and flexible to assist the team as needed.

Pay: $19.44 - $23.59

A Delivery Assistant is responsible for assisting the Delivery Driver in the movement of product from the main warehouse to the delivery site while acting in a safe and professional manner. The ideal Delivery Assistant is driven to maintain safety regulations and above and beyond customer service. Depending on the location, the Delivery Assistant reports directly to the General Manager, Production Manager, or Shop Foreman and interacts daily with customers, drivers, dispatchers, receivers, and load-builders.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently load and unload building materials from commercial motor vehicle
• Legally, safely, and efficiently travel to destinations through public and private roads
• Complete mileage and fuel usage reports
• Demonstrates commitment to on time and in full deliveries
• Follow delivery procedures by taking photos of delivered shipment after completing each delivery
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers, contractors, and vendors
• Maintain yard, warehouse, and vehicle cleanliness during course of work
• Finds productive work to do in down time
• Keeps truck supplied, organized, and clean
• Comes to work professionally attired
• Checks load for accuracy
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

• Shoes that are puncture resistant, slip resistant, made of leather or composite material, and have ankle support required
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work cordially, professionally, diplomatically and with a high level of customer service in a dynamic environment for both internal and external customers
• Must maintain confidentiality and accuracy of all information related to company finances and records, particularly, cost of goods purchased and sold
• Ability and willingness to identify processes, tools and/or procedures that may be improved upon to improve the workplace and outcomes for our customers
• Ability to function independently, as part of a team, and as a leader within your own cohort with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and commitment to excellence

Working Conditions

This position will be working at a windows facility and make deliveries at jobsites in all weather conditions.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 90 lbs.
