Job summary

Summit Products in Altoona, IA is seeking a production associate to assemble windows and prototypes in our growing local manufacturing team. The role emphasizes accuracy, organization, and effective communication with management and teammates.

Schedule is Monday through Thursday 5:00am-3:30pm with occasional Fridays overtime; full-time direct hire. Candidates should be reliable, able to lift 50–75 lbs, and willing to work as part of a collaborative team to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.
• Able to lift 50–75 lbs frequently.
• Must maintain good attendance and be punctual.

Responsibilities

• Be on time and have excellent attendance.
• Produces components by assembling parts and sub-assemblies.
• Positions parts and sub-assemblies by templates or reading measurements.
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening.
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed components.
• Cleaning, washing, and buffing windows.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by following procedures and rules.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Organize Inventory in an accessible process.
• Maintain parts and tools clean; use tools to complete production flow.

We are a growing, local manufacturing company looking for the right person to join our group. Duties will include working in the window department. Assembling windows and prototypes. Candidates must be highly organized, have the ability to monitor quality of products, must pay close attention to detail, and be able to communicate effectively to management and the team.

Schedule: Monday through Thursday 5:00am-3:30pm (Fridays OT as needed)

Job Type: Full-time direct hire
