Job summary

RectorSeal is seeking a Winding Room Supervisor for the Palm Coast, FL facility. The role oversees the winding room operations, ensuring quality, production pacing, and accurate documentation.

This on-site exempt position runs 6:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Thursday, with a focus on safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, is proficient in Microsoft Office, and can lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 3 years of supervisor experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; engineering degree preferred.
• Computer skills to function in the role and Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe, clean, and orderly work environment.
• Plan production/scheduling of machines per production requirements.
• Manage material inventory, scrap counts, and machine changeovers.
• Develop and maintain daily hand-offs between shifts (days to nights).
• Perform daily machine, operator, and documentation audits.
• Establish and maintain PIE, first article and POWR processes.
• Downtime analysis and root-cause investigation; assist in reject root cause analysis.

Overview:

RectorSeal is seeking an experienced Winding Room Supervisor for our day and night shift team at our Palm Coast, FL facility. Winding Supervisor is responsible for the overall operation of the winding room in an effort to create and maintain, an even and steady culture through focus on quality, production to rate, inventory usage, etc. This is an on-site exempt position and will require a daily presence at our Palm Coast, FL facility, 6:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Thursday.

RectorSeal manufactures and/or distributes a variety of chemical and mechanical products for the HVAC, electrical, and plumbing industries. Responsibilities:

• Maintain safe, clean, and orderly work environment
• Define expectations and hold operators and support personnel accountable
• Plan production / scheduling of machines per production requirements
• Understand and maintain production rates per machine, cycle counts, understand root causes of Plan misses
• Manage order of racks to spray
• Production documentation to and from winders is timely, accurate and correct
• Understand raw material inventory vs. plan and scrap counts
• Schedule and perform maintenance
• Change over of machines between materials, orders, and personnel
• Become technical expert on Tibrewala and Koti winding machines
• Develop and maintain daily hand-offs between shifts: days to nights and nights to days.
• Perform daily machine, operator, and documentation audits
• Establish and maintain Partners in Excellent (PIE), first article and POWR.
• Regular dissection of parts to ensure quality
• Red Tag notification and management
• Downtime time and root cause analysis
• Assist in reject root cause analysis
• 3 years of supervisor experience, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment
• High School Diploma/Equivalent or prior work history in operations management role in lieu of education
• Computer skills to function in the role
• Microsoft Suite Experience
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Preferred Experience:

• BS or AS in an Engineering Field
• Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
• Extensive knowledge of operations and production management.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
