Job summary

Ritz Instrument Transformers USA seeks a winding technician to prepare LV/HV windings for CVT EMU assemblies. You will load paper tubes, apply wire and insulation, perform quality checks, and ensure proper documentation. The role requires basic math, attention to detail, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities include operating per SOPs and JSA, coordinating with shifts, and assisting assemblers as needed. This is an on-site manufacturing position with standard day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Verify material you will work with is correct according to your work order.
• Inspect paper for torn, damaged or dirty condition.
• Load paper tubes onto the winding machine.
• Apply wire and paper per the work instruction.
• Send wound tubes to next workbench.
• Responsible for quality control; no damaged product to next workstation.
• Operate within SOPs and JSA.
• Complete daily/weekly production logs.
• Communicate with operators from other shifts.
• Clean and maintain work area.
• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Perform back-up for assemblers.
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees.

Summary

Prepare Low Voltage and High Voltage for CVT Electromagnetic Unit (EMU). LV Winding typically involves

application of heavy gauge magnet wire of approximately 70 turns/winding. Three windings possible. Paper

insulation and wire sleeving is applied as required in the work instructions. The HV Winding typically involves

application of small gauge wire with 6000 to 8000 turns. Taps are required to be soldered inside of the winding.

Paper insulation and wire sleeving is applied as required by the work instruction. Miscellaneous taping and crimping

is required.

Primary Responsibilities

• Verify material you will work with is correct according to your work order.
• Inspect paper to be sure it is not torn, damaged or dirty.
• Load paper tubes on to the winding machine.
• Apply wire and paper per the work instruction
• Send wound tubes to next workbench.
• Responsible for quality control. No damaged product is sent next workstation.
• Operate within standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA’s)
• Complete daily/weekly production logs

Knowledge And Skill Requirements

• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery.
