Job summary

RAM Industrial, an ISS company, seeks a reliable Motor Rewinder to wind AC/DC motors and follow all safety processes, including PPE usage. The role involves reading job cards, recording winding data, and performing electrical tests as part of a structured production process.

Responsibilities include winding various motor components, applying banding, testing, baking stators, and maintaining a clean, safe work area. The position may require varying shifts and physical effort.

Qualifications

• Must pass Bennett Mechanical Aptitude test as part of RAM process.
• Must pass RAM color deficiency test.
• Ability to read and retain job cards and follow safety procedures.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Read job cards to determine status and work scope.
• Record winding data from units being rewound.
• Wind AC/DC fields, armatures, rotors, and related components.
• Install or replace banding on armature/rotor as needed.
• Perform stator core loss testing and document results.
• Restore stator irons as required.
• Work with various winding types (random, mush, synchronous, form coils).
• Conduct a battery of electrical tests and bake stators per process.

Position Summary:

RAM Industrial, an ISS company is seeking a reliable Motor Rewinder to perform winding process of AC/DC motors.

Understand and follow all Safety processes and procedures including the use of required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read job cards to determine job status, work authorization/limitations, estimate, description of problems and/or work scope.
• Accurately read and record winding data from units being rewound.
• Wind AC, DC Fields, Armatures, wound rotors and equalizers.
• Install and or replace banding of an armature or rotor.
• Perform stator core loss testing and record in technical traveler.
• Perform the restoration of stator irons as needed.
• Work with winding random, mush, synchronous, and form coils.
• Perform a battery of electrical tests.
• Dip and bake stators as required by the technical traveler.
• Utilize bake ovens to cure varnish treatments.
• Keep work area Safe, clean and organized.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma, technical or trade school or on the job training.
• Passing the RAM administered Bennett Mechanical Aptitude test.
• Passing the RAM administered color deficiency test.
• Ability to understand and retain various skill related training and operational and Safety procedures.
• Work varying shifts, weekends and holidays when required.
• Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Occasionally push and pull parts, kneel and crouch.
• Continuously stand and frequently walk.
