Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks a Project Engineer – Windchill (PTC) Specialist to lead Windchill PLM administration and drive PLM enhancements. You will coordinate with engineering, IT, manufacturing, and quality to assure data integrity and streamlined workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5+ years of experience in engineering or PLM-related roles.
• Hands-on experience with PTC Windchill (administration or power-user level).
• Familiarity with Creo, SolidWorks, or other CAD tools.
• Strong understanding of configuration management, BOM structures, and change control.

Responsibilities

• Windchill Administration – Manage, configure, and maintain PTC Windchill PLM, including user accounts, access control, workflows, and system updates.
• PLM Enhancement Projects – Lead mid-scale PLM enhancement projects from scoping through implementation, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to improve system capabilities.
• Engineering Change Management – Lead and support Engineering Change Requests (ECR), Engineering Change Orders (ECO), and Change Notices (CN) within Windchill.
• CAD Data Management – Oversee CAD file structures, version control, and release processes for Creo and other integrated tools.
• Process Optimization – Identify inefficiencies in engineering workflows and implement improvements using Windchill capabilities.
• Cross-Functional Support – Provide training, troubleshooting, and daily support to engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Documentation Control – Ensure all product documentation meets configuration management standards and regulatory requirements.
• Project Coordination – Coordinate engineering tasks, track project milestones, and support product development schedules.
• Data Integrity Oversight – Maintain accuracy of BOMs, metadata, and product structures within Windchill.
• System Integration – Collaborate with IT on integrations between Windchill, ERP, MES, and CAD systems.
